When it comes to the world of animated films, Universal’s DESPICABLE ME franchise seems to be the more viable in terms of marketing. Where SHREK seemed to outlive it’s welcome and in addition iPhone 5 Disney case, Pixar, and Dreamworks obtaining their sweet time between films inside their franchises, Universal is going all in and in addition releasing their third film inside their series just two years after the carry on one.
MINIONS serves as a spin-off/prequel to the two DESPICABLE ME émissions and gives us a retro exuberance by setting the new movie almost 50 years ago.
